Perfect bread EVERY Time - THIS BOOK REALLY DELIVERSWith recipes individually tailored to all the major bread machine brands, I enthusiastically report that each recipe that I made with my new Oster bread machine did come out perfectly. My favorite recipe for toasting bread is their Maple Buttermilk Bread. According to them, my Oster bread machine requires 3 tablespoons plus one teaspoon maple syrup while a Maxim or Sanyo bread machine requires three tablespoons less one teaspoon of maple syrup. Based on my experience, i you follow their recipe, you will get the perfect loaf of bread they promise.
Has my machine, and has excellent recipes. I read through the whole book first, including the hints. I checked ingredients needed, and made notes on a couple, including the light wheat recipe. Oil was used in my loaf, in proportion to the similar recipes, and this book was found to be so good, I sent a second one as a gift to my friend who has the same bread maker. I Definitely Liked This Book.
Like most folks, everything I've made from the book has been excellent. My machine (2001 Williams-Sonoma) is included in this book. The large variety of recipes and spiral-bound format are pluses. On the down side, in their attempt to provide for a wide range of bread machines, they've made it difficult to locate recipes in the book. Each featured bread will cover several pages to provide recipes for all machines they cover. It's hard to find things doing a quick flip through the book. A tabbed format separating the various sections and a table of contents on each tab would make the book easier to use. It would also be nice if they would include some guidelines on how to adjust recipes if your machine is not listed or your bread just doesn't come out right. A good book explaining ingredients and adjustments is Better Homes and Gardens - Best Bread Machine Recipes.
This book was a mainstay for my breadmaking machine but I lost track of it in a move. I couldn't live any longer without this books recipe for brioche, so at this price, I didn't hesitate to get another copy until I found my original. This book is better than any breadmaker book I ever found because each recipe has a slightly different version for each of several classes of bread machine. The authors had found that not every machine turned out a great loaf from the same recipe -- they needed little adjustments to get the best out of the machine. Great book for any bread machine baker.
Husband loves it and is making different kinds of bread. He even contacted the author with questions and she responded dedicated quickly and was very helpful.
This is my favorite cookbook for bread machine use. The recipes are reliable, and that's in part because the book shows you how to alter recipes by machine and machine size. Our favs are the rosemary focaccia, the Stilton bread and the cherry brioche. Yum!
Have been using this book with excellent success. Teaches you to use your bread machine far beyond making just loaves of bread. LOVE this book, very under-rated, it's a goldmine of great and easy recipes. Blows away other breadmaker books.
